Horse Competitors Entry by Wristband
A new system is in operation in the horse area
whereby there are NO tickets. To assist traffic flow, NO Passes will be required
to enter the horse box park as it is outside the main showground.
Admission from the horse box park to
the horse area of the showground will be by WRISTBAND only. All people (mounted
or on foot) needing to enter this area must wear their wristbands at all times.
Anyone not wearing a wristband will be charged admission to the showground at
the current rate.
The Horse section of the Monmouthshire Show attracts over 800 entries from all corners
of the British Isles and is one of the best end of season shows around.
The Show is host to Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers including classes for Ridden
Hunters and the Classic Ladies Side Saddle. Other classes incorporate all our native
breeds in addition to the well established Hunter Breeding, Show Pony, Sports Horse,
Coloured Horse, Working Hunter and Novice and Local Hunter classes. Show Jumping
classes are held in the main ring.
New Classes include the introduction of the Retraining of Racehorses and a Royal
International Qualifier for the Miniature Horses.
There are no stabling facilities on the showground. Local accommodation may be found
by reference to the
