The
Management Committee of the Monmouthshire Show have made every effort
to ensure that people of all ages and abilities are catered for at
the show including: children, OAP’s and those with disabilities.
We also have the St John Ambulance on-site all day
and a strong police presence to make sure that everyone who visits
us has a happy, secure and hassle free day out.
There are plenty of places to eat, drink or just rest, and excellent
toilet facilties. (See map)
We cater for the young with a creche, and to the elderly and infirm
with motorised scooters available on hire for the day.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Medical Services
St. John Ambulance/Medical Centre – adjacent to the big Oak Tree.
Baby Feeding and Changing Facilities
In the Creche, on the roadway adjacent to the big Oak Tree.
Creche
Puddleducks Nursery from Raglan will provide Creche facilities for babies from 3 months of age, free of charge, for set periods during the day from 10.00 a.m. Situated on the roadway adjacent to the big Oak Tree.
Lost Children
Puddleducks Nursery will provide this facility.
Toilets
Toilet facilities are situated on all parts of the Show Ground and are well signposted.
Disabled Facilities
Toilet facilities for the disabled are situated adjacent to many of the mobile toilet areas.
Dogs
The Show Organisers recommend that all dogs not involved in competition are left at home, however, if they are brought to the show they must be kept on leads at all times and are not permitted into the livestock lines. Please do not leave dogs in cars.
Secretary
The Secretary’s Office is situated adjacent to the Member’s facility by the Main Ring.

Health & Safety
Please observe the animal walkways and stay behind barriers when requested to do so by Stewards. It is their responsibility to look after your safety. A copy of the Show Safety Policy (link to below) is included in the printed catalogue. Please also note any regulations laid down by DEFRA with regards to Animal Health policies.
Catalogues & Show Programmes
Catalogues are on sale at £3.00, programmes at £2.50, from Graham Walton Publishing personnel situated adjacent to all pay booths and the Secretary’s Office.
Picnic Area & Food Courts
These can be found at various areas around the showground.
Disposal of Rubbish
Please help us to keep the show ground tidy by disposing of your rubbish in the bins provided. Special bins for recycling waste have been provided by Cylch – please dispose of your cans and plastic in the appropriate containers.
Admission charges
Adults £10.00, Concessions £9.00, Children £5.00, Family £28.00.
Hand Washing
Visitors should avail themselves of the hand wipes situated in livestock areas after any contact with animals.
Car Parking is FREE
Public Car Parks are situated on the opposite side of the main road from the Show – members of the public should use the official pedestrian crossing – please take care when crossing the road.
Please note that if you wish to leave the show ground and return, you should expect to have a hand stamp to ensure re-admission. Anyone not having an Official Monmouthshire Show badge or stamp will not be re-admitted to the show ground without payment. We regret that we cannot accept any excuses for lost or mislaid passes. |
